Most of you know Ive been training with Karen Marie with Belly Beautiful Portraits, well this Thursday a handful of her prints will be displayed at the "Best of Sacramento" March of Dimes event. We are very excited about the event and in hopes that it brings more exposure :). ALSO on Friday night we are having our Introduction to Starlet photography and our joining with Roseville's Pin-Up Girl Salon. Starlet will offer Pin-up/Hollywood Glam and boudoir photography for woman...fun fun fun! The website will be up in the next couple of days so i will keep ya posted!! First Shoot

Ok so I had my first actually shoot all on my own. Ironically it wasnt suppose to be on my own but ended up that way and Im quite happy that it did. It was an outdoor family session with the Payne family on Nov 11th. We had a good time even after the scare from a little light rain. This was a great experience for me and I sure did learn a lot! I was actually a little disappointed in myself, or should I say my portraits. I mean don't get me wrong they came out great but I started to analyze my work and myself and get down on myself for "not doing this" or "why did you do that instead of this" type stuff. Im a perfectionist and my own worst enemy...lol. I finally decided (in my head) that I think i did a pretty good job for my first time and I actually really really like a few of the photos I took, BUT that I would learn from my experience and use it to help me grow as a photographer, thats what's most important right? I learned things that I really liked that I had done and a few things that I would do differently the next time. I want to GREATLY thank the Payne family for being my very first shoot and Im so very happy that they love their pictures and had a hard time picking them out...hehehe! Here's to many more great shoots!!! Happy Thanksgiving Everyone!
