High Fashion Fun In Old Sacramento

Wow its been some time since I've blogged...been so busy with the holidays and shooting and editing and printing and, well you get the idea...LOL. Anyhow as most of you know Bridget and I have a photography group that we run, Capitol City Shooters and we have had some really fun meetups lately. Below are some shots from the "High Fashion" set we did a few weeks back. It was so much fun and we got to work with the wonderful Amanda Pacheco as our model and of course the talented Jenifer Haupt from Imakebeautiful.com at hair and makeup. They both rocked the shoot, couldn't have been more happier with the outcome :)

Parenthood...

Recently a good friend of mine brought their first baby boy into this world...he is just beautiful by the way. Anyhow It got me thinking about my own children, each one of their births...so very different yet equally and uniquely captivating. It is so very amazing to me how fast our children grow! The "time of the newborn" seems to already fade after just two weeks...with each coming month they learn and absorb so very much. Amazing we are...us humans and especially us woman, what are bodies can do is beyond me. So the more I thought about my babies, the sadder I became...with life being life, ya know with the crazy work hours, busting our butts day after day I just dont take the time I should with my children. I mean dont get me wrong they arent ignored by any means but I mean that one on one quality time. With me trying to build my business right now I really feel like I neglect them...I always seem to have a million things do, am doing and a million more on the waiting list... I gave myself a reality check...life will still go on...now matter how great or crappy it is, but the time now, that I let pass me by without more one on one time with my kids...well that...I will never get back. So here is to more days outside playing in the backyard, more park trips, more mom and son lunches, more laughs and more smiles, because time doesnt stand still and there are memories to be made :)

I really do just love what I do!! Its an amazing feeling to see how happy I can make my clients...to get them away from the everyday stresses of life, even if its just for a few hours. Making them feel beautiful and sexy, the way all of us women should feel everyday. I truly am blessed to be in this industry :)

Leilah Tutu Dress fun

So I have been making tutu dresses for my baby girl Leilah...Bridget and I took the kids out to Gibson Ranch to do some halloween pics and I decided to bring one of Leilah's tutu dresses...it photographed so well and she was the perfect little model. I cant wait to take her pics in the other ones I have made! Here are a few of my favorites...

Heather's Sacramento Bedroom Boudoir Shoot

I had the pleasure of shooting a beautiful young lady by the name of Heather this past wednesday. We had what I like to call a "Bedroom Boudoir Shoot". Heather knows how to work the camera and that is always fun from a photographers stand point. We got some really awesome shots we are both quite proud of :) My Favorite Hair and Makeup Artist Jenifer Haupt rocked the scene as always and did a wonderful job on bringing Heather that sultry sexy look. Nick's Homecoming...

I had the pleasure of being a part of an amazing event yesterday. This fundraiser was to earn money for our dear friend Nick Duncan's prosthetic. You see Nick has been battling leukemia and during his long fight an infection caused him to lose his left leg. It was amazing how many wonderful people came through to make this event possible. I seen so many faces I havent seen since 1997, it was crazy! We all gathered at our old stomping grounds of Rio Linda Sr High's football field and made a triumph out of a tragedy.

We had so many wonderful vendors and Supporters

It was a day for catching up

A day full of laughs

A day for good friends

A day full of Emotion

A day of Beauty

A day to be Grateful

And a day to Celebrate someone who through it all, keeps moving forward with his head high and determination on his face. Someone strong and brave and an inspiration to us all...

So a while ago I posted a blog about my very first Boudoir session and well...I totally fibbed! LOL This is my near and very dear friend Christina, she was actually my very first Boudoir session. This was done before I even decided that boudoir was what I wanted to specialize in. I had almost forgot all about these images since it has been so long but Im glad I remembered! It reminds me of why I started this whole thing in the first place, how my style started out, how its changed and how I would like to change more. The ever evolving photographer. Sacramento Newborn Photography Shoot

So my wonderful long time friend Torrie had her baby! Little Jessa graced us with her presence two days early :) I have known Torrie since I was 5yrs old! I am so very happy for her and her family, this new bundle of joy is very much loved. We have had one session so far, Jessa had decided she did not want to sleep that day but instead eat and sleep on mom...but only mom! LOL Needless to say I will be going back to visit her but we did capture a few great shots despite the sleeplessness. She is just adorable and I cant wait to visit her again and capture more great images!
